Alpharetta GA Church to Host “Souper Bowl” community luncheon on February 8

Alpharetta, GA — Alpharetta Methodist Church will host its annual Souper Bowl community luncheon on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Trinity Hall, located in the church’s main building at 69 North Main Street.
Formerly known as the Super Bowl of Chili, the Souper Bowl has been refreshed for 2026 to feature a variety of homemade soups and desserts prepared by members of the church community. The family-friendly event invites attendees to enjoy a warm meal and fellowship on a winter afternoon.
In addition to the luncheon, the event will support Backpacks of Love, a local initiative that helps provide food to families at risk of hunger during the school year by filling students’ backpacks with nutritious items. Attendees are encouraged to bring donations of canned tuna or chicken, small plastic jars of peanut butter, canned fruit, or canned pasta. Items with pull-tab tops are preferred.
Community members who plan to attend the luncheon are asked to register in advance. Those interested in contributing by cooking a soup or volunteering during the event are also encouraged to register, as cooking spots are limited.
The Souper Bowl is open to individuals and families throughout the Alpharetta area and reflects Alpharetta Methodist Church’s ongoing commitment to community connection and service.
